Gary Clayton Anderson, the George Lynn Cross Research Professor of History at the University of Oklahoma is one of the foremost scholars on the U.S. Dakota War of 1862.
He will be speaking as a part of the Commemorating Controversy: The U.S.-Dakota War of 1862 Speaker Series taught by Elizabeth Baer in the English Department and Ben Leonard of the Nicollet County Historical Society. This Speaker Series was made possibly by a Gustavus Adolphus College Sesquicentennial Mini-Grant.
