Come Visit Us at the State Fair

Thursday, August 14, 2008 (46 weeks ago)

Gustavus Adolphus College will again have a presence in the Education Building at the Minnesota State Fair. Make plans to stop and visit between 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Aug. 21-Sept. 1.

This year the Gustavus booth will be giving away buttons with different symbolic images of Gustavus on them including Old Main, Christ Chapel, the lion mascot, and the three crowns.

Other reasons to stop by the Gustavus booth include:

  • A chance to learn more about the College, its programs, and its people.
  • Showing your alumni support by stopping by to say hi and sign the Alumni Guest Book.
  • Writing a note to someone on campus using our ever-popular State Fair “Gustie Gram.”
  • Picking up a College admission application, a Nobel Conference magazine, a fall sports schedule, or other materials.
  • A chance to chat with the friendly Gustavus representative or volunteer staffing the booth.

All members of the Gustavus community are encouraged to show their Gustie pride at the great Minnesota get together by wearing Gustavus apparel. Enjoy the fair and the end of summer.

Gustavus Adolphus College is a private liberal arts college in St. Peter, Minn., that prepares 2,600 undergraduates for lives of leadership, service, and lifelong learning. The oldest Lutheran college in Minnesota, Gustavus was founded in 1862 by Swedish immigrants and named for Swedish King Gustav II Adolf. At Gustavus, students receive personal attention in small-sized classes and engage in collaborative research with their professors. Fully accredited and known for its strong science, writing, music, athletics, study-abroad, and service-learning programs, Gustavus hosts a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa and is internationally recognized for its annual Nobel Conference®.
