Gustavus Adolphus College women’s tennis player Jenni White (Sr., Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy) fell in the first round singles competition, while White and Sierra Krebsbach (So., North Oaks, Minn./Mounds View) also lost their first round doubles win at the 2008 NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Championships at Gustavus in St. Peter.

Jenni White dropped her first round singles match 6-3, 6-2 to #4-seed Brittany Berckes of Amherst College. White and doubles partner Sierra Krebsbach faced off against defending national doubles champions and #3-seed Brittany Berckes and Alicia Menezes of Amherst in the first round of doubles play. Both teams had several long rallies during the match, but the team from Amherst proved to be much in the end as Berckes and Menezes advanced to the second round by a score of 6-3, 6-3.

Gustavus will continue to host the 2008 NCAA Championships with singles and doubles competition continuing on Saturday and Sunday.
