I am a graduate from the University of Minnesota, Morris with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Stats. In my time at Morris, I was a member of the track and field team all four years, and worked for Computing Services as a Web Developer my senior year.
I'm originally from Oakes, ND where I was involved with soccer, basketball, and track until my senior year where I threw football into that mix. Outside of school and sports, I kept busy working on the family farm, working on computers, and staying active. I really enjoy to wakeboard, snowboard, ride bike, and pretty much anything else that allows me to be active.
Track is something that has allowed me to stay active while still having fun. I'm always wanting to become a better and stronger long jumper and triple jumper, so I've always pushed myself with jumping. The feeling you get after a phenomenal jump is all the encouragement I need to continue to jump. At Morris, I was a two year captain and currently own the indoor and outdoor school records for triple jump. I also own the indoor and outdoor UMAC conference triple jump records. I also provisionally qualified for the national meet in triple jump my senior season.
I've always enjoyed problem solving, which is why I really like to write code and come up with the logic to make the code work. So I absolutely love having the opportunity to work on the website and continuously find new and better ways of doing things as well as playing with new technologies.
I currently live in Saint Peter with my wife Joy, who teaches math at Mankato East High School, and our dog Lena.
