Honors and Awards Ceremonya celebration of excellence
The Honors and Awards Ceremony is a celebratory recognition of seniors for academic, service, and leadership achievements. Seniors who have received national, state, and college-wide awards will be honored during the ceremony.

National and Statewide Awards Recognized
Students who are recipients, finalist, semi-finalists, and nominees for the following awards will be recognized with their name read and to come on stage to receive a certificate.

Departmental and Program Awards
Many departments and programs have awards or honor cords that they distribute to their students before Commencement in their own ceremonies or activities. These names will not be read as part of the program and honorees will stand as a group.

How is a student recognized and do I need to RSVP?
Many honoree names will be read so student honorees should RSVP at honorsday@gustavus.edu.
Who can attend the Honor Awards Ceremony and is seating limited?
Tickets are not required and seating is unassigned and unlimited. Family and friends attending Commencement are encouraged to attend. Gustavus faculty and staff are also welcome.
