JOB SUMMARY: The International Education Coordinator supports study away experiences, international student services, and intercultural programming administered by the Center for International and Cultural Education (CICE). This position will assume primary responsibility for day-to-day administration and advising for all study away programs. Additionally, this position assists with projects serving international and multilingual students as well as campus wide intercultural programming.
Employment Status: Full-time (.75 FTE; primarily during academic year), Exempt, and Benefits-Eligible
Salary Range: $33,500-34,500 annually, based on .75 FTE

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the day-to-day activities of program administration, including:
- Study-away advising in group and individual settings, in virtual settings, by email, and by other means, sometimes including interaction with parents/families of prospective and confirmed participants;
- Maintaining strong relationships with campus departments and program partners;
- Consulting with campus colleagues and faculty about study away opportunities, the application process, and related questions;
- Giving campus presentations (in classrooms, group meetings, and other settings) about study-away opportunities and the application process;
- Working with other team members to promote program and funding opportunities, including assisting with targeted efforts to reach out to students in groups underrepresented in study away participation;
- Providing support for applicants and for participants pre-departure, during the study away term, and upon re-entry to the College;
- Liaising as needed with colleagues in such units as Financial Aid, the Career Development Office, Accessibility Services, Health Service, and the Center for Inclusive Excellence;
- Assisting the Director with ongoing assessment and program development projects;
- Participating in, planning, and executing certain campus events, including study away pre-program orientations, the annual Study Away Fair, International Student Orientation, and other globally oriented events;
- Mentor student employees in the CICE; and
- Completing other projects as assigned to support the mission of the CICE.
- Some evening and weekend hours and some travel (international & domestic) required - less than 5%.
Prerequisites
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree;
- A demonstrated interest in the field of global learning;
- Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with CICE constituents
- Flexibility, resourcefulness, organizational skills, excellence in oral and written communication, attention to detail, and initiative in both individual and team projects;
- Prior intercultural and/or international experience (e.g., study away/abroad, internship or professional experience in an area related to diversity/equity/inclusion, AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, immersion experience in a domestic or international community that differs from your own cultural background, etc.); and
- Proficiency in the use of databases; spreadsheets, Microsoft Office Suite products, and Google Drive or similar platforms.
