The Opportunity:
Gustavus Adolphus College seeks a Vice President for Finance and Auxiliaries and Chief Financial Officer to serve as a strategic and operational leader during a period of institutional momentum and transformation.
Reporting directly to the President and serving as a key member of the senior leadership team, the VP/CFO will guide the financial and administrative functions of the College, including finance, facilities, payroll, and auxiliary services. This leader will play a central role in aligning institutional resources with strategic priorities, ensuring long-term financial sustainability while supporting the College’s ambitious vision for growth and innovation.
The VP/CFO will have the opportunity to shape and modernize the College’s financial infrastructure at a pivotal time. As transitions across the finance function create space for evolution, the next leader will help strengthen teams, refine budget models, enhance forecasting capabilities, and build a more data-informed approach to decision-making.
The role calls for a strategic thinker and strong communicator who can balance operational discipline with mission alignment, serving as a collaborative partner to academic and administrative leaders across campus.
The salary range for this role is $195,000 – $240,000.
