Description
Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for a Cook to join our Dining Service team on campus.
The work schedule for this position is Tuesday - Saturday from 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
Employment Type: Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Non-Exempt (Hourly), and Benefits-Eligible.
Pay Range: $16.50-17.50 per hour
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare menu items including meat, vegetarian, vegan and halal
- Prepare menu items using commercial steamers, convection ovens, tilt skillets, steam kettles, fryers and grills
- Develop unique recipes
- Work with and mentor college student employees
Prerequisites
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months experience in a high-volume dining service or restaurant or other related experience, preferred
