Description

Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for a Graduate Assistant Track and Field Coach with the department of Athletics. This is a 10-month position, with an anticipated start date in early Fall 2024. 

The Graduate Assistant Track and Field Coach will possess a proven ability to coach as well as recruit the best possible student-athletes. The responsibilities of the position include coaching in at least one of the areas of sprints, hurdles, high jump, multis and throws. The position also revolves around recruiting, practice preparation, meet preparation, ability to drive large vans of athletes during competition season and other administrative roles within athletics.

Prerequisites

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (by Spring 2024)
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Collegiate track and field experience
  • Experience with Strength and Conditioning for track and field athletes
