JOB SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to support the mission and vision of the Campus Activities Office, by promoting student learning, development, and exploration through experiential education and to help in determining appropriate courses of action that allows the Campus Activities Office to better support a diverse student body.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the daily operations of the Information Desk and Campus Activities Office.
- Advise, approve, and support meeting and event space requests for a broad range of internal or public events hosted by the College.
- Advise, coordinate, and oversee ticket sales and distribution for multiple categories of events.
- Oversee daily reconciliation of cash sales.
- Manage credit card and campus account transactions, resolving issues as needed.
- Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate student staff for the Information Desk.
- Provide administrative support for the Campus Activities Office.
- Provide administrative and programming support for New Student Orientation, Greek Life, Family Weekend, Senior Week, and Campus Activities Board.
- Assist with supervision and training of all other CAO student employment positions.
- Educate and support all recognized student organizations.
- Track and reconcile spending within multiple departmental budgets.
- Collaborate with campus partners to effectively utilize reservation software system and web-based ticketing system.
- Interpret and enforce operational policies relative to facilities management.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks requiring attention to many details. Ability to assess situations and problem solve. Ability to work in a high traffic office.
- All other duties as assigned.
Prerequisites
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Supervisory experience.
- Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills and experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
- Experience with reservation and ticketing software.
