Dane Obermeyer is returning for his second season with the Gustavus women's soccer team as an assistant coach for the 2009 season. A member of Gustavus' conference championship teams in 2006 and 2007, Obermeyer played in 28 games as a midfielder compiling two goals and one assist for five points during his career.
Upon graduation from Gustavus in 2008, Obermeyer worked with Maple Brook Club Soccer and Gustie Soccer Camp. The Los Alamos, N.M. native evaluated player skills for the Maple Brook Club Soccer boys and girls teams for U-11 through U-17. He also served as an instructor at Gustie Soccer Camp this past summer. Obermeyer, who lives in St. Peter, earned a bachelor's degree in political science and history.
