    2004 NYSP-Gustavus Program Information

    The program will revolve around three areas: Fitness Centers, "Learning is Fun" Academy, and Creativity Centers.

    The Fitness Centers will include the physical activities that will be part of the program. These will include both team and individual activities lake: swimming, aerobics, soccer, softfall, volleyball, yoga, tennis, rhythmic gymnastics, Tai Chi and relaxation.

    The "Learning is Fun" Academy will include an emphasis on Science, Math, and Language Arts. The science component will focus on healthy living and taking care of ourselves that include programs in nutrition, drug/alcohol education, body fitness, making good decisions and positive self-esteem.

    The Creativity Centers will allow students to spend each week exploring one of the following creative venues: art,dance, music, photography, storytelling and drama.
