About
- Our students focus on developing research skills through hands-on research experiences at all levels within the majors.
- Our department is well equipped to provide great learning and research experiences with many students working side by side with faculty members conducting research in the field bringing learning to life and enhancing lessons learned in Nobel Hall.
- Our globally-focused department teaches students about environmental sustainability, justice, and global-local connections in order to address challenges of our time.
- Students are empowered to implement sustainability projects such as the Big Hill Farm, our student-organized farm that grows produce for the Gustavus Dining Service; campus recycling and composting initiatives; campus energy conservation efforts and campus sustainability assessments.
