You don't need to "put together" the dice from the kit, but the
description of the challenge on page 5 of the kit booklet is a little
better than the statement of the problem in the book.
For each of the four dice, say
A=(all 3's)
B=(two blanks, four 4's)
C=(four 2's, two 6's)
D=(three 1's, three 5's),
which die will beat A with probability 2/3?
which die will beat B with probability 2/3?
which die will beat C with probability 2/3?
which die will beat D with probability 2/3?
To figure out the probabilities, think of filling in the chart on page
527 with whatever is on the faces of the two die you are analyzing.
In how many of the 36 squares does the first die win? the second?
