NYU Infant Cognition and Communication Lab
Summer Research Opportunity at the NYU Infant Cognition and Communication Lab The NYU Infant Cognition and Communication Lab, under the direction of Dr. Athena Vouloumanos, is accepting applications for its annual Summer Internship Program. The internship is a terrific opportunity for students to gain research experience in an exciting and highly collaborative lab, while enjoying a fun filled summer in the heart of Greenwich Village in New York City. Summer interns will get hands-on research experience in the field of language and cognitive development. Interns will be working in a brand new state of the art lab, where they will learn about all stages of the research process including developing ideas, creating stimuli, scheduling and running participants, coding and analyzing data, and presenting research findings. The internship runs for 13 weeks from May 17th to August 13th, 2010, and the schedule is approximately 25 hours a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and every second Saturday). Who can apply? The internship is open to all undergraduate students. It is particularly suited for students considering graduate school in linguistics, cognitive science, developmental, or cognitive psychology.
