Zach Vine ’15

Zach Vine is in his ninth season on the Gustavus football coaching staff. Vine serves as the Strength & Conditioning Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator, and Defensive Line Coach. He graduated from Gustavus in 2015, majoring in Exercise Physiology, and played for the Gustie football team for four seasons. During his time on the gridiron for the Gusties, Vine played in 25 games and started at offensive guard in all 10 games his senior year. During the 2014 season, Vine was a captain and was honored with the Lee Krough Award, MIAC Sportsmanship Award and the Gustavus Servant Leadership Award.
A native of Lino Lakes, Minn. and graduate of Centennial High School, Vine served as Strength & Conditioning Coordinator for St. Peter High School during the Summer of 2015. In 2016, he served as an Assistant Strength Coach for Minnetonka High School during their Summer program. In the Summer of 2017, Vine served as a Strength & Conditioning Intern for the University of Iowa football program. Coach Vine is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and holds a Master's Degree in Human Performance.
Vine lives in St. Peter with his wife, Liz, and their two daughters, Marta and Georgia.
