Jason Tompkins will begin his third season as the assistant coach for the Golden Gustie men’s soccer team.
Jason is a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato with a B.S. in physical education and minors in sports medicine and coaching. Before moving to the area, he played soccer and football at College of the Canyons, receiving the Yogi Award for Special Teams Player of the Year in football. He was later recruited to play for the MSU-Mankato football team, where he graduated in 2009. Prior to joining the Gustavus soccer coaching staff, Tompkins was the head varsity coach for the St. Peter High School boy’s soccer program, which won two conference championships during his tenure. Jason continues his role in the community as the Director of Player and Coaching Development with the St. Peter Soccer Club. Through the NSCAA, Jason has received a National, Advanced National and Premier National Diploma, along the Goalkeeping I, II, & III.
Jason lives with his wife, Vanessa, in Mankato.
