Monica is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and a nationally certified counselor (NCC) who is working towards her clinical licensure under professional supervision. Monica is a psychodynamically informed therapist that takes an integrative, wholistic approach in working with students with a variety of mental health concerns. She emphasizes the importance of creating a collaborative, safe space where students can experience a sense of autonomy, curiosity and exploration throughout their mental health care. She strives to create an environment where every person, with all of their intersecting identities, can feel seen, heard, and experience a true sense of belonging. 

Monica’s own experience of growing up between countries fuels her passion for providing culturally affirming mental health care, that appreciates each person's whole personhood. She is bilingual, speaking both Arabic and English, and has lived in 3 different continenets to date. Monica often has a book or two that she is trying to read her way through, loves to travel when possible, and enjoys playing the piano and watercolor painting in her free time.
