Assistant Professor and Athletic Training Program Director in Health and Exercise Science

Kyle is the Director of the Athletic Training Program. He teaches theory and lab courses within the major and general education courses offered by the department.  He is responsible for the administration of the athletic training major.

Kyle is an athletic trainer for the United States Fencing Association. His work takes him to competitions throughout the U.S. as well as abroad. It's an excellent opportunity to learn about other cultures and their medical practice.

Kyle is heavily involved in the athletic training profession.  He is chair of the Governmental Affairs committee for the Minnesota Athletic Trainers' Association, member of the Board of Certification exam development committee, and liaison between the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the American College Health Association.

Outside of work related activities Kyle also enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with his wife, son, and dog . In the fall you'll find him busy with the dog while pheasant and duck hunting. He also volunteers with Ducks Unlimited and is the faculty advisor for the Gustavus Ducks Unlimited Chapter.
