Football-Defensive Line Coach at Gustavus Adolphus College and Football - Defensive Line Coach

Dennis Baldus begins his sixth season with the Gustie football staff, serving as the defensive line coach alongside Woody Bachman. Baldus, a 1971 Gustavus graduate with majors in health and physical education, was a lineman for the Golden Gustie football squad from 1967-1970. After graduating, Baldus went on to receive his master's degree in physical education from St. Cloud State University and then spent the next 16 years teaching and coaching at Hawley High School and Watertown High School. 

As head coach at Watertown, he garnered the Wright County Conference Football Coach of the Year award six times, while leading the team to a State Championship in 1986 . In 1987 Baldus became athletic director and head football coach at Albert Lea High School before being hired in 1991 as a principal in the Chaska Independent School District. Coach Baldus was an administrator in the Chaska ISD up until his retirement in the spring of 2010.
