Becca Thompson ’07
As a former student of Gustavus and previous intern at the Counseling Center, I am looking forward to my return to such a wonderful community. I received my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2013 and I am credentialed as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I am currently working towards my doctorate (Ed.D.) at Minnesota State University, Mankato in Counselor Education and Supervision, which will hopefully allow me the ability to someday train counseling students. My previous counselor experiences have been at Adult, Child and Family Services, LLC, a community mental health agency in Mankato, MN, where I have worked for almost three years, as well as the Gustavus Adolphus Counseling Center, where I worked last spring and interned in the 2012-2013 academic year.
When I am not working or in class, I still spend much of my time learning to satisfy my curiosity for many areas of interest whether it is history, culture, or art. I enjoy playing volleyball competitively and spending much of my time socializing with friends. My time away is spent visiting my brother, sister-in-law, and two nieces who live in Duluth, MN. Looking forward to be back!
