Alumni and Administrator

Senior Admission Counselor in Admission

Admission Territory: Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and select Twin Cities high schools.

Originally from Overland Park, Kansas, Bethany graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2014 with an English major and a Film & Media Studies minor. As a high school senior she struggled to make her college decision, but in the end Gustavus won her over with its caring community of students, faculty, and staff.

During her time on The Hill, she was highly involved in a variety of activities, including Gustie Greeters, The Gustavus Choir, Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority, and Big Partner Little Partner. One of her most memorable experiences was her semester abroad in Christchurch, New Zealand, which deepened her love of travel and gaining global perspectives. Her time at Gustavus allowed her to broaden her thinking and foster passions for learning, social justice, and student development. After graduating, Bethany earned a master’s degree in Leadership in Student Affairs from the University of St. Thomas and worked in Residential Life at Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York.

Bethany is passionate about higher education and preparing students for the future through a dynamic liberal arts education. She is thrilled to return to Gustavus as a professional and contribute to a community that gave her so much.

Bethany lives in Minneapolis with her significant other, Jace, and their three dogs: Ava, Josie, and Macklin. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, music, baking, spending time outdoors, brunch, and cheering for the Kansas Jayhawks.
