Working in libraries has given me the opportunity to hold a screenwriting Oscar, help a couple write their marriage vows, and use technology in some pretty awesome ways. The primary focus of my job is to make our print and online journal collections accessible to the Gustavus community. I also work with the Government Documents Collection and our Institutional Repository.
I completed my undergraduate degree at St. Olaf College in 2008 and my MA in Library and Information Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2010. I was a first-generation college student and was in two federal TRiO programs during my studies, Upward Bound and Student Support Services.
Some of my personal areas of interest are open access initiatives, the self-publishing/indie publishing industry, promoting educational opportunity, and children's/YA literature.
