Assistant Men's Tennis Coach in Athletics

Kinzee is the Assistant Men's Tennis Coach at Gustavus Adolphus College. Kinzee has been with the men's tennis team since 2019. She previously served as the Assistant Director of Tennis and Life Camps. She is a 2016 graduate of St. Catherine University where she graduated with honors and was a four year member of the women's tennis team. She received her masters from the University of Minnesota in 2019 and currently serves as an Assistant Coach for the men's tennis team at Gustavus. Kinzee is in charge of the development of tennis, staff recruitment, training, and retention, as well as diversity and inclusion initiatives at camp.

During her time at St. Kate's, Salo was all conference in both singles and doubles from 2013-2016, the winningest doubles player in school history with a 61-12 record, and a member of the 2013 MIAC team championship. Salo was awarded the Sheila Brown Wildcat Award during her senior year which recognizes student  athletes who demonstrate consistent contributions to the athletic department through athleticism, scholarship, dedication, sportsmanship and leadership. She graduate with honors in psychology in 2016 and went on to become the Assistant Women's Tennis Coach for St. Kate's from 2016-2019.

Salo earned her masters in Kinesiology with an emphasis in sport sociology from the University of Minnesota in 2019, where her research focused on narratives pertaining to female coaches. During her time at the University of Minnesota, she was a graduate student with the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport which is the first interdisciplinary research center of its kind in the world, solely dedicated to the examining how sport and physical activity affect the lives of girls and women, their families, and communities.
