Special Arrangements:  Extending Airline Ticket

• Seminars International is a group tour company, not a travel agency. We exclusively create customized group programs and do not book individual reservations for airline tickets, car rentals, trains or hotels. You may make your own reservations for an extended stay or contact a travel agent to assist you.  

• Program participants are required to depart the U.S. on the same day. Post-tour extensions and deviations are often available however; may be strictly limited by the airline. Each airline allows only a certain percentage of a group booking to deviate or make special requests.  Should you prefer to depart earlier than the group, you can register as a Land Only participant. Contact Seminars International for the details on Land Only registration.

• Special airline requests are first-come, first-served. Once the allotment allowed by the airline group contract is full, we cannot take any other special requests.

• There is a $75 per person Seminars International service fee to process extensions in addition to any airline fees, airfare supplements and travel costs. Requests should be received no later than 75 days prior to departure as we are finalizing reservations with the airline at this time. 

• Your request must be received in writing with dates and intentions. This is necessary to maintain a quality of service and attentiveness. Please provide a first and second choice for a return date in your written request.

• Once your written request is received, we will begin working on your special arrangements.  

• When the quote is sent to you, it is not a price guarantee. Prices for airline tickets are subject to change as they are based on current availability on the flights. Let us know as soon as possible after receiving the quote if you want us to confirm the arrangements. Be advised that space can become unavailable or the price could change until confirmed. Do not delay as airfares increase without any notice, particularly closer to departure.

• Once special arrangements are confirmed, the $75 Seminars International service fee is due and applies even if you cancel your special arrangements. 

• There are no refunds for any unused program inclusions. If, for instance, you leave the program one day early to start your extension plans, you will not be reimbursed for the last hotel night or any other services provided that day. All program inclusions are purchased as a package.

• You are responsible to supply the airline with your contact information for your extension plans.  Should there be an airline schedule change or cancellation, the airline needs to be able to advise you of such. Please call the airline either before departing the USA or on arrival to your destination to give them a contact phone number where you can be reached during your travels.

• Please reconfirm your return flights directly with the airline 48-24 hours prior to your flights. In addition to this, call the airline the day of departure to ensure flights are still scheduled to depart on time.
