Faculty Reading Group: Flight Behavior

Wednesday, January 15, 2014 (Last Year)

Do you enjoy Barbara Kingsolver’s books? If so, you may be interested in joining a faculty reading group centered on her recent book Flight Behavior. This novel weaves family dynamics and human and ecological interactions against a backdrop of the magnificent monarch butterfly and the intricacies of climate change. We will meet twice (Wednesday, February 5th from 4-5pm and Thursday, February 20 from 3:45-5pm) to discuss this book. Karen Oberhauser, who will present the Lefler Lecture and is our Minnesota Monarch Scientist Extraordinaire, will join our discussion on Thursday, February 20. The Kendall Center will purchase books for interested faculty.
