Fall Faculty Engagement Roundtable

Wednesday, September 4, 2013 (32 weeks ago)

Join us on Friday, October 11 from 4:30 to 6 pm in the St. Peter Room for the 1st Fall Faculty Engagement Roundtable. Title: The Intersection of Community-Based Learning with the Global Commons at Gustavus.

Description: Join us for this interactive event and continue the conversation begun at the 2013 faculty development session as well as the faculty retreat around reframing “internationalization.” If we entertain a different approach that asks us to instead consider how we ‘help students have an engaged experience in the world’ we may discover where community-based learning intersects a commitment to joining the global commons. Faculty from around campus will facilitate roundtable discussions around different ways to honor ‘engagement’ within community-based learning and community-engaged scholarship, drawing on their own experiences and welcoming others.
