Tea & Treats: Visions of a new Faculty Development Center
Wednesday, December 14, 2011 (Around 2 years ago)
Join us on Tuesday, January 10 for Tea and Treats: Visions of a new Faculty Development Center. Do visions of an expanded faculty development center dance in your head? We seek faculty input on a new and expanded John S. Kendall Center for Engaged Learning in the renovated SSC building. How might the space be organized to support faculty development and engaged student learning? For example: What functions could the space support (e.g. quiet reading/work space, ‘drop-in’ discussion space, reserve-able rooms for group work, and/or refreshments), What types of programs would you like it to support (e.g. webinars, workshops, video conferences, Teachers Talking), and perhaps most importantly, How would you most likely use the space? Please … dream big and share your ideas! Conversation facilitated by Margaret Bloch Qazi (Director of the John S. Kendall Center for Engaged Learning, Biology) in the Phi Beta Kappa Room from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. — come when you can and leave when you must.
