Call for Proposals - The collaboration for the Advancement of College Teaching and Learning invites proposals from college and university faculty, staff, and student for concurrent sessions on the conference theme. They especially encourage proposals for sessions that will promote stimulating dialoque, reflect diverse perspectives, and involve student presenters or co-presenters from accross institutions. Proposals are peer reviewed and sessions are selected on certain specific riteria.

Conference topic - Motivating Srudents for Better Retention, Learning, and Achievement. What does student success look like? And, what does it take to create conditions that promote high levels of student achievement? Recent findings from research on these important questions had prompted many campuses to develop bridge programs, first-year and sophomore experiences, and senior capstone courses to create stronger connections between students and the campus, faculty, and their peers and more fully engage them in the learning process. This conference will showcase effective strategies that can increase student learning and retention and assist students in becoming self-motiviated learners.
