Community Conversations on Advising

Tuesday, January 10, 2006 (Around 8 years ago)

Please join us on Monday, Feb. 13, from 3:30 - 4:30 for Wine and Cheese in Linner Lounge, or Tuesday, Feb. 14, 8:00 am to 9:00 a.m. for Morning Coffee and Rolls in the Faculty/Staff Lounge.

Discussion will focus on ~~ Who Are Those Students Sitting in Front of Us? Changing Realities in the Classroom Profiles. What scores don’t measure. Kinds of unusual situations and complicated backgrounds and communication with you from the Dean of Students Office, or the Disability Services Coordinator. What to do with what students tell you, about themselves, colleagues, etc. Resources for referral. Do we have to teach them how to behave, too?

If you plan to attend one of the sessions, please email Cathy Blaukat, cblaukat, to let her know which day you’ll be attending. Thank you!
