    Volume one includes essays on determining what early humans ate, staple foods, dietary liquids, and nutrients.     Citations and abstracts for agricultural publications from the 15th century to the present, including articles from over 600 periodicals, USDA and state experiment station and extension publications, and selected books. Subjects include animal and veterinary sciences, entomology, plant sciences, food and human nutrition, and earth and environmental sciences. Many records are linked to full-text documents online.     Provides indexing for over 3,800 journals from the fields of nursing and allied health dating back to 1937; includes full text for more than 750 of those journals. Also includes Evidence-Based Care Sheets.

    This full-text database provides consumer-oriented health content, from mainstream medicine to the perspectives of complementary, holistic and integrated medicine. Covers topics such as aging, cancer, diabetes, drugs & alcohol, fitness, nutrition & dietetics, children's health, and men's & women's health.     Search current news, business information (including business news and corporate financials), and legal news and information. International news sources are also included.

  • PubMed
    The primary source for scholarly information in the health sciences. This database is provided by the National Library of Medicine and indexes scholarly literature in medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, and the preclinical sciences. Many links to full text are included for articles older than six months. Most of this database may also be searched in the ProQuest interface as MEDLINE.
  • Regional Business News
    A supplemental database for customers of Business Source Premier. With daily updates, Regional Business News provides comprehensive full text for regional business publications (including titles from Crain Communications). It incorporates coverage of 75 business journals, newspapers and newswires from all metropolitan and rural areas within the United States. Access is provided by the Electronic Library for Minnesota (ELM).

    This database contains full text for nearly 640 science encyclopedias, reference books, and journals.   • ProQuest Statistical Insight
    Includes summaries of statistical publications and searches and displays tables of statistical data. Statistical Insight includes links to the full-text of selected publications and government web sites, including the information contained in the Statistical Abstract of the United States.

  • Food and Nutrition Information Center
    From the United States Department of Agriculture, this site contains a searchable A-Z list of topics concerning nutrition, including food science, food composition, eating disorders, and various reports, studies and statistics.
