Windows 7

Windows 7 is end of life on Jan 14, 2020. We recommend migrating to a current operating system such as Windows 10 as soon as possible.

Connecting to the network

Technology Services requires Windows machines connected to the Gustavus network to meet the following basic requirements:

1. Your computer must have the most recent Windows updates.
2. Your computer must have Symantec_Endpoint_Protection or another Antivirus program installed and have updated virus definitions.

Adding Recent Items to your Start Menu

1. Right-click the Start Button
2. Click the Start Menu tab
3. Click the Customize Button
4. Click the Recent Items box
5. Click OK. Click OK.
6. Recent Items should show up in your start menu

Printing PDF to HP4050 Printers

1. Click the Print Button
2. Click the Advanced Setting on the bottom of the screen
3. Click Post Script Options on the left side of the screen
4. Find the Print Method: Language 3
5. Click and Select Language 2
