Technology Request Process

Technology Services (GTS) is the primary technology provider on campus. Most technology equipment is supported and purchased through Technology Services.

Every year, faculty and staff are asked to submit technology requests. Gustavus has two different technology request processes. Faculty use the Academic Technology Request Process and Administrators use the Administrative Process.

Academic Technology Request Process

Historically, the Academic Technology Request form is sent out in the fall by the ATC (Academic Technology Committee) for the following fiscal year. Technology requests that are approved are fulfilled during the following summer.

Summer 2020

Academic Technology approved for delivery in the summer of 2020:
Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Academic Technology Hardware and Software Listing
GTS will make every effort to coordinate delivery of all approved equipment before August 1st. Undelivered approved allocations will expire on November 1, 2021, unless additional arrangements have been made.

Summer 2019

Academic Technology approved for delivery in the summer of 2019:
Fiscal Year 2019-2020 Academic Technology Hardware and Software Listing
GTS will make every effort to coordinate delivery of all approved equipment before August 16th. If we are unable to make arrangements before August 16th, equipment delivery may be delayed until after Fall Break. Undelivered approved allocations will expire on November 1, 2020, unless additional arrangements have been made.

Administrative Technology Request Process

The Administrative Technology Request process is sent out in January by Gustavus Technology Services. These requests are reviewed by GTS and fulfilled during the following summer.

Summer/Fall 2020

Administrative Technology approved for delivery in the fall of 2020:
Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Administrative Technology Hardware and Software Listing

Due to the challenges inherent with the COVID-19 situation, priority for scheduling new technology allocations will be given to faculty and academic requests for the summer.

The Technology Helpline will be scheduling the majority of administrative upgrades starting this fall. Undelivered approved allocations will expire on November 1, 2021, unless additional arrangements have been made.

Summer 2019

Administrative Technology approved for delivery in the summer of 2019:
Fiscal Year 2019-2020 Administrative Technology Hardware and Software Listing.
GTS will make every effort to coordinate delivery of all approved equipment before August 16th. If we are unable to make arrangements before August 16th, equipment delivery may be delayed until after Fall Break. Undelivered approved allocations will expire on November 1, 2020, unless additional arrangements have been made.

Mid-Year Request Process

If you need to request a computer outside of the normal request processes, there is a mid-year request form, that will be reviewed by GTS on a rotating basis.
