MyGustavus Proxy FAQ

Where can a student setup an account for proxy access?

In MyGustavus (http://my.gustavus.edu) there is a menu option called “View/Add Proxy Access” in both the left side User Options menu and in the menu that appears when they click their name up top that will direct them to proxy access page.

What relationships to the student are currently supported?

Aunt/Uncle, Grandparent, Guardian, Parent, Spouse, Sibling and Step-Parent

How do students add a person as a possible choice for proxy if they are not listed?

Fill out and submit the “Request Change To Proxy Access” Form on the Gustavus website (https://gustavus.edu/registrar/forms/proxy.php) Allow 3-5 working days for the person to show up as being available.

How do students add or change the email address for a proxy that is required for proxy communications?

Fill out and submit the “Request Change To Proxy Access” Form on the Gustavus website (https://gustavus.edu/registrar/forms/proxy.php) Allow 3-5 working days for the email to appear.

How do I change incorrect information (name, email, relationship to student, etc) about a proxy?

Fill out and submit the “Request Change To Proxy Access” Form on the Gustavus website (https://gustavus.edu/registrar/forms/proxy.php) Allow 3-5 working days for the email to be changed.

How can a proxy change or reset their password?

A proxy can request their password be reset by sending an email to proxyaccess@gustavus.edu with any relevant information (name, relationship, etc).

AIS will create and email out a temporary password to the proxy using the email that is on file for proxy communications. The proxy will need to change their password.

What is currently available for a parent to see?

Modules currently supported for proxy access are financial aid, student finance and academics (grades).
A proxy may not see all available modules for their students. The student can pick and choose what pieces of information their proxies are able to see.
