Adding Proxy Access
There are a number of ways to get to the proxy access page in MyGustavus where you can manage access to your information.
Direct Link: https://gustavus.edu/proxyaccess
From MyGustavus (http://my.gustavus.edu): Choose the menu option called “View/Add Proxy Access” in both the left side User Options menu or in the menu that appears when you click your username at the top-right of the page.
From WebAdvisor (https://wa.gac.edu/):
Chose the link called "MyGustavus Parent Access" which is under the parent access menu.
Adding A Proxy Person
Located at the bottom of the View/Add Proxy Access page is a section called "Add a Proxy". In this section is a drop down box where you can select the person you would like to add as a proxy. Once a proxy candidate is selected you will see additional information and options. Please verify that the email address listed for your proxy is the one that they want to use for proxy communications and that their relationship to you is accurate. Select either to "Allow Complete Access" or "Allow Select Access." If you chose to allow select access for your proxy you will need to specify the different types of information you want your proxy to have access to by using the check boxes. Once you are finished with that review the disclosure agreement and then hit "Save."
Once access is granted your proxy will receive communication at the displayed email with credentials (if needed) and a link for them to use to navigate to MyGustavus and login.
Please fill out and submit the following form https://gustavus.edu/registrar/forms/proxy.php if any of the below are true:
- The person you want to add as a proxy is not listed.
- The person you want to add as a proxy does not have a required email address on file.
- The displayed email for the person you want to add as a proxy is not the one they want to use for proxy communications.
- The displayed relationship for the person you want to add as a proxy is inaccurate.
Modifying or Removing Proxy Access
Located in the middle of the View/Add Proxy Access page is a section called "Active Proxies." This section contains a list of all the active proxies you have enabled access for. For each person you are able to click on the pencil on the far right of the row to pop-up a box that will allow you to remove or modify your current access selections. Once you are done hit "Save."
