Microsoft OneNote is a note-taking program that is especially useful for tablet-style laptops. It is available as part of the Microsoft Office Suite. OneNote was first released with Office 2003 (Windows only) and is updated in Office 2016, and available for Macintosh.
It may be easier to take notes using OneNote rather than Microsoft Word due to the more free-form style of OneNote. OneNote also organizes your notes into separate "journals" making it easy to keep track of notes from different events, classes, etc.
