Internet Sharing

Users are occasionally restricted on the Gustavus network due to internet sharing. To fix this problem, please follow the directions below.

  1. Click on the Start menu and open the Control panel
  2. Select Network Connections then click on Network and Sharing Center
  3. Select Change adapter settings
  4. RIGHT click your Local Area Connection and select Properties and look at the Sharing tab
  5. Uncheck the box that reads "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection"

If users have been restricted for this, a full time Technology Services' staff member must manually re-enable their GReg registrations. Please contact the Technology Helpline (x6111) for this.
