Installation guide - Adobe Contribute CS3

Software Description

Adobe Contribute is a WYSIWYG web page editor that is used at Gustavus to maintain an increasing number of parts of the Gustavus website.

Installation at a glance

Prerequisites

None.

PC installation

1. Log in as anadministrator.
2. Establish a connection to phoebe.gac.edu.
3. Navigate to "Installers_Programs" > "Adobe" > "Contribute" > "PC" > "Adobe CS3".
4. Run "setup.exe"
   • Note: You will need to close any open web browsers to proceed.
5. Select "install" and press "continue".
   • Why is it asking for CD on install?
6. Enter the key from the file "serial.txt" located in the "Adobe CS3" folder.

Post installation

1. Open Adobe Contribute CS3 and verify that it is working.
2. Disconnect from phoebe.gac.edu

• Does this install require reboot?

OS X installation

1. Establish a connection to phoebe.gac.edu|smb://phoebe.gac.edu/Installers_Programs.
2. Navigate to "Installers_Programs" > "Adobe" > "Contribute" > "Mac".
3. Open the disk image ADBECNTBCS3_WWE.dmg.
4. Open "Adobe Contribute CS3" and run "Setup".
   • Note: you will need to authenticate as an administrator.
5. Enter the key from the file "serial.txt" located in the "MAC" folder.

• Error with ExtendScript Toolkit

Post installation

1. Open Adobe Contribute CS3 and verify that it is working.
2. Make sure to disconnect from "Installers_Programs" by dragging it to the trash can.
