Geotagging

Geotagging is the process in which geographical metadata is added to media such as photographs, videos, websites, and RSS feeds. These metadata usually include latitude and longitude coordinates and may include altitude, bearing, accuracy data, and place names.

Geotagging is frequently used in photography to facilitate searching for photos.
