Dear First Year Gustavus Student,
Gustavus Technology Services would like to welcome you to Gustavus!
It is our hope that this message will answer many of your technology related questions and provide you with the resources necessary to find answers to other technology questions you might have.
Gustavus Technology Services is the central organization responsible for most of the technology delivery and support at Gustavus. For students the Technology Helpline is the primary point of contact for all technology related questions, problems and concerns. The Helpline consists of a phone support center (507-933-6111) and web based help center (Helpline WebSite) available 7 days and over 80 hours a week.
All Gustavus students are granted a user account. This account includes a Gustavus email address, network storage space (home directory), Google Calendar and Documents, web publishing space and authenticated access to many online Gustavus resources. We would like to invite you to begin using this account now.
If you did not receive this information via email or can't find this information,please call the Technology Helpline at 507-933-6111 to get your username and temporary password information.
Before you can begin using your @gustavus.edu email address you must activate your account. This activation process is simple and web based. It should take less than 10 minutes. During this process you will be asked for your emergency contact information. You will also be asked at the end to select a password. Your new self selected password will be different for email than the password you have been given for WebAdvisor (online access for financial aid and form tracking during the summer enrollment process).
