Browser cookies are small pieces of data saved on your local machine by web sites to identify you.

Clearing browser cookies

Firefox

To clear your browser cookies in Mozilla Firefox, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the Menu button Menu button.jpg and choose History.
  2. Select Clear Recent History.
  3. Select the Time range.
  4. Show Details.
  5. Select Cookies and click Clear Now.

Google Chrome

To clear your browser cookies in Google Chrome, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the Menu button Menu button.jpg and choose Settings.
  2. Click Show advanced settings.
  3. In the Privacy section, click the Content settings button.
  4. To delete all cookies, click All cookies and site data, click Remove all.
  5. To delete a specific cookie, hover over the site that issued the cookie with your mouse, then click the X that appears on the right corner.
  6. You can also choose to remove all cookies created during a specific time period, using the Clear Browsing Data dialog In the Privacy section.

Internet Explorer

To clear your browser cookies in Internet Explorer, perform the following steps:

  1. From the Tools menu select Delete Browsing History.
  2. Make sure Preserve Favorites website data is unchecked.
  3. Make sure Cookies and website data is checked.
  4. Click Delete.

Safari

To clear your browser cookies in Safari, perform the following steps:

  1. Open Safari and click on Safari in the top menu bar.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Under the Privacy Settings, click Manage Website Data.
  4. Search for gac.edu
  5. Then click Remove
  6. Search for gustavus.edu
  7. Then click Remove
