AirPlay

AirPlay is a technology that enables you to wirelessly transmit video services from a Macintosh computer, iPad, or iPhone to an AppleTV.

You can mirror your device's screen or you can only send video or sound to the AppleTV such as videos, pictures, or video/sound apps that support AirPlay.
