Kris Kracht

Kristofer B. Kracht graduated from the University of Mary, ND, in 2000 with a B.S. in Communication. He received his M.S. in Communication Studies and Journalism from South Dakota State University in 2002 where he hosted the Interstate Oratorical Association National Contest, which is the oldest annual public speaking competition in North America. Kristofer joined the Department of Communication Studies in the fall of 2002 and currently serves as the Director of Summer Academic Programs. He has been involved in forensics for 17 years as both a competitor and coach. Kristofer


Under Kristofer's leadership, the program has risen to national prominence. Gustavus is one of nine schools to be nationally ranked six consecutive years, placing 9th at the 2012 American Forensic Association National Individual Events Tournament. The program also won a National Championship at the 2012 and 2011 National Forensic Association National Championships (D II) and placed 9th overall in 2012, the 2010 Pi Kappa Delta National Comprehensive Tournament and four Minnesota Collegiate Forensics Association State Championships in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012. Kristofer has coached four American Forensic Association National Individual Events Tournament All-Americans.

Cadi Kadlecek,
Associate Director of Forensics

Cadi KadlecekCadi R. Kadlecek graduated from Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska in 2006 with a B.A. in Communication Studies and Political Science. While a competitor at Hastings College, she earned a National Championship in Prose interpretation and contributed to four consecutive team top 20 finishes at the AFA-NIET. 

She received her M.S. in Communication Studies in 2008 from Illinois State University. While she was a graduate student she coached at Illinois State University and Bradley University.

Cadi joins the GAC faculty in 2010 after a two year stint as the Assistant Director of Forensics at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.  She has been involved in forensics for 14 years as both a competitor and coach.

Cadi currently serves as an at large member of Mid-America Forensics League committee and newsletter editor for CTAM.
