The Archives houses College and Lutheran Church records and historical materials. Assist in processing of historical collections. Assist with research inquiries. Some receptionist/secretarial duties. Must be detail oriented, possess strong writing skills and able to work unsupervised on projects. Training provided. Knowledge of PC word-processing and database programs.

Prerequisites

Federal, state, or institutional work study

Tech skills and interest in history preferable. Some computer knowledge and skills. Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 50lbs.

Student Assistant
Library - College Archives

Openings: varies

1. Data Entry;
2. Process archival collections;
3. Develop finding aids and other descriptive tools to improve
access to collections;
4. Develop displays, handouts, and signs as needed;
5. Work on updating and maintaining web pages;
6. Work with the archive's digital content management system; and
7. Other tasks as assigned.

Prerequisites

**Must qualify for student employment**
Looking for students Mondays - Wednesdays
*Interest in history encouraged.
*Strong detail-oriented, organizational, interpersonal and written communication skills are essential.
*Good computer knowledge and skills: Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft 2007-Word
Excel and Access
*Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
*Library or Archives experience is helpful but not necessary.
