Overview

This year’s event, themed "Echoes of Light: St. Lucia Tradition Meets Gustavus’s Future," will honor our cherished traditions while looking ahead to an exciting new chapter. The timeless qualities of Lucia—light, service, and leadership—have always guided our campus. This special event is a chance to reflect on this legacy and celebrate the bright future.

  • Special Program: Enjoy an inspiring program including the introduction of the St. Lucia Court and a special conversation with Valeria Volin.
  • Music: Listen to music performed by the student group, Kaleidoscope A Cappella.
  • Fundraiser: Enrich your bookshelf and support the library by participating in our “Blind Date with a Book” fundraiser! We'll be selling mystery books of all genres for $20 each.

Your ticket includes a delightful breakfast, an inspiring program, and a special gift from the Friends of the Library—GLA.

  • Doors open at 9:30 a.m.
  • Tickets are $30 per person.
  • Please register by December 3, 2025.
  • There are no physical tickets; you will check-in on the main level of the Johnson Student Union.

Special thank you to the Carl and Verna Schmidt Foundation for their support of this event.

All proceeds from this event will directly benefit the Folke Bernadotte Memorial Library and, most importantly, our incredible students.
