Ubuntu, Jesu: From the Cradle of Humankind to the Ends of the Earth
December 2 at 7:30 p.m., and December 3, and 4 at
3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
The African notion of “Ubuntu” affirms that a person is a person through other people, or “I am because we are”. To proclaim “Ubuntu, Jesu” links the nativity narrative to all of life, with the “Cradle of Humankind” as both the birthplace of humanity in Africa and the manger of Jesus in Bethlehem. Christmas in Christ Chapel 2016, “Ubuntu, Jesu: From the Cradle of Humankind to the Ends of the Earth”, celebrated unity by connecting the incarnation of Christ with the creation of humankind in Africa.
Christmas in Christ Chapel 2017 is December 1, 2, and 3. Tickets for Christmas in Christ Chapel 2017 will go on sale August 1.
