Description

Students are assigned to the following areas based on their experience, abilities, areas of preference, and the needs of the departments.

Animal Room and Aquaria Assistant - Responsible for the care and maintenance of a variety of research animals, assorted aquaria, and their facilities.

Greenhouse Assistant - Care for and cultivate a variety of plants for departmental and laboratory purposes. Assist with maintenance of facility.

Stockroom Assistant - Assist with laboratory setup, including preparation of solutions and media. Help with general maintenance, inventory and cleaning of supplies and glassware.

Taxidermist/Museum Curator - Assist with the collection, preparation, and preservation of animal specimens.

Teaching Assistant (TA) and/or Lab Preparation - Assist instructor with teaching laboratory sections and/or preparing for weekly labs.

Office Assistant - Assist with office duties, including word processing, photocopying, scanning, mail distribution, and bulletin board maintenance.
