Economic Club of Minnesota

Students from Economics and Management have been able to attend the regular luncheon gatherings of the Economic Club of Minnesota, thanks to a generous donation from Paul Koch ’87 and Michelle Koch. The gatherings feature a hospitality hour where guests have an opportunity to meet and network, followed by a luncheon with a distinguished speaker.

Speakers in 2014-15 included a wide range of experts, including Fortune-500 CEOs (Chevron, Ecolab), the heads of Central banks both domestic and foreign (New York Fed, Bank of Japan), cabinet-level government officials (Secretary of the Treasury, U.S. Trade Ambassador), and others. With Paul and Michelle’s gift, three students, accompanied by an E/M faculty member, are able to attend each of the 7-9 gatherings throughout the academic year, an experience that all have appreciated, enjoyed, and learned from.
