Diversity Honors Award Winners

Every year the Office of Multicultural Student Programs and Services and the Diversity Leadership Council award students, staff, faculty and a student-led event with a Diversity Honor Award. Recipients of these awards are given to those have gone above and beyond to create an equitable and welcoming climate on our campus.

2014

Bruce A. Gray Diversity Honors Award

The Bruce A. Gray Diversity Honors Award recognizes the on-going efforts and accomplishments of up to three students who embody and exemplify the values of diversity, inclusion, and principles of social justice at Gustavus.

The following students have been recognized as 2014 recipients:

Mark H. Anderson Staff and Faculty Diversity Honors Award

This Mark H. Anderson Award recognizes the on-going efforts and accomplishments of faculty and staff members who embody and exemplify the values of diversity, inclusion, and principles of social justice at Gustavus.

  • Jane Lalim has been recognized as the 2014 Staff Award recipient.
  • Deborah Goodwin has been recognized as the 2014 Faculty Award recipient.

Diversity Honors Outstanding Event Award

The Diversity Honors Outstanding Event Award recognizes the effort and accomplishments of a campus event that embody and exemplify the values of diversity, inclusion, and the promotion of social justice at Gustavus. This award distinguishes those events that foster future acceptance and integration of all communities.

  • Building Bridges 2014 has been recognized as the 2014 recipient. This student-led event was led by Co-Chairs: Mark Zorrilla and Kelly Dumais.
