Dance Team Try-Outs!

When are try-outs?

Try-outs for incoming freshman, transfer students and those upperclassmen who wish to try out again are going to be held: Saturday, September 6th at 11:00am.

Try-outs will be held in the aerobics room on the 2nd level of the Lund Center.

Try-Outs for current Gustavus students were held on Saturday, May 3rd. Thank you to all who tried out and congratulations to those who made the team!

If you did not make the team this time, we encourage you to try out again on September 6th!

What will be expected at try-outs?

Currently the Gustavus Dance Team for the 2008-2009 school year contains 15 teammates. The Gustavus Dance Team will take a maximum of 24 people for our team.

The 2008-2009 Gustavus Dance Team Try-Outs will be held early September.

At try-outs you will be expected to:

• WEAR ALL BLACK - clothing that allows the judges to see your body lines!
• Come pre-stretched and ready to work hard!
• As a group you will be taught a short routine. This routine, at the end of the day, will be performed in front of a small panel of judges.
• You will also be expected to shows us your talent by displaying necessary skills. i.e. Pirouettes, Open Second Turns, Leaps and jumps.
